Ft. Bragg Celebrates Army Birthday With 10-Mile Run

FT. BRAGG, N.C. --

There will be no cake when some North Carolina-based paratroopers celebrate the Army's 234th birthday.

Instead, more than 1,000 soldiers will run the 13th annual Army Birthday 10-Miler Thursday at Fort Bragg. The challenging course will crisscross the massive Army post.

Units will field men's, women's, and mixed teams. Awards will be presented to the men's overall champion, women's overall champion, and the top three finishers in each classification.
