The Durham County Health Department started offering flu shots to adults and children on Monday, Oct.13.
People wanting to get a flu shot can get one on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., while supplies last.
The DCHD is closed the first Wednesday afternoon of every month.
Flu shots are free to people with the Medicare Part B plan that is not associated with any Medicare Advantage Plans. The fee is $25.00 for adults and children that do not meet the criteria for free state-supplied vaccine.
