Students at EK Powe Elementary school are giving the alphabet a whole new look.
According to DPS officials, the students have created a "photo alphabet" in the school's conference room.
"They cleverly captured pictures from the playground and nature with the letters of the alphabet," said Michael Yarborough with Durham Public Schools.
Yarborough says the students plan to post the photo essay on the school's website. The site might be expanded as well so that kids can drag the letters onto lines to spell different words.
