DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police investigators are asking for information about an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, Dec. 21 at an ATM at Bank of America, 3807 North Duke Street.

A female was getting ready to drop off a bank deposit at the ATM around 9:30 a.m. when a male ran up to her, pointed a silver handgun and said, "Give it up. Give it up now." The male grabbed the bank deposit bag and was last seen running toward Stonewood Apartments on Newby Drive.

The suspect is described as a male, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing a white polar jacket with a design on the left side and gray fur around the hood, a white ball cap with an "A" on the front, a black bandana covering his mouth and nose, blue jeans and white sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator B.S. Jones at 560-4582, ext. 236 or CrimeStoppers at 683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
