DURHAM, N.C. -

North Carolina Central University announces the following activities which will commemorate the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Holiday. With the exception of the annual prayer breakfast, all events are free and open to the public. For more information on any of the events listed, please call 919-530-6380.

MAN UP Conference and March
Conference theme: "From the Dream to the Reality: CHANGE We Can Live With"
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m.
Opening Session begins at 9 a.m.
Location: Leroy T. Walker Complex
Admission Information: To register, please call 919-530-6380

A luncheon will be held at the A.E. Student Union at 12:30 p.m. The luncheon speaker will be Dr. J. Kameron Carter, Associate Professor of Theology and Black Church Studies at the Duke Divinity School.

The march starts at 2 p.m. at the Hayti Heritage Center on Fayetteville Street and ends at the B.N. Duke Auditorium on the campus of NCCU.

Annual Blood Drive
Time: 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Location: Miller-Morgan Building

We will have TV monitors set up in various classrooms for students to watch the historic inauguration. Students will have the opportunity to donate blood, bone marrow typing and sickle cell screening. Refreshments will be provided.
