CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C.

Children of Marines stationed at a North Carolina base will take part in the annual Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt, an event that includes entertainment from clowns, bans and Easter bunny mascots.

The 2nd Marine Division said that more than 2,000 military family members attended the event last year at Camp Lejeune.

It will be held the evening of April 18, the Saturday after Easter, on W.P.T. Hill Field, across from the base headquarters building. The egg hunt had been scheduled Friday but was delayed because of weather concerns.

A spokesman said children and their families will search by flashlight for eggs that are hidden by Marines from the division.

The hunt is the division's largest family event of the year.
