RALEIGH, N.C.
NBC17 hosted it's 2009 Spring Shred It Event this past Saturday in both Cary at Village Square Shopping Center and in Durham at the Indigo Corners Shopping Center.
Over 2,000 people brought their personal documents to be professionally shredded to the event that amounted to over 25,600 pounds of paper equally over 12 tons. Attendees brought food and clothing to donate to Playing Together Preschool and The Durham Rescue Mission.
