The North Carolina agency that helps the unemployed has been busy lately. Now the Employment Security Commission wants to hear how it's doing.
The ESC's governing board meets in Greensboro on Tuesday and has scheduled time to hear from anyone with ideas about how the commission can do a better job helping state residents find jobs or collect unemployment compensation benefits.
The public listening session is after lunch at the ESC's meeting at Guilford Technical Community College.
ESC Chairman Moses Carey says the board's meetings are always public, but the agency wants to focus attention on the fact that it wants to hear from those it serves. He says good ideas are especially needed at a time the agency is so busy.
