Officials say the strong winds that ripped through southeastern North Carolina this week caused more than $800,000 in damage in Robeson County alone.
     
The Fayetteville Observer reported Tuesday that the county suffered about $813,000 in damage after winds reaching 125 mph swept through the region. Emergency management director Charles Britt said seven homes and 11 mobiles homes were damaged in Monday's storm.
     
Officials said the winds roared along a 100-mile path from Scotland County to Columbus County, but the worst damage appears to be in Robeson County.
     
A woman who was pinned under debris in Robeson was listed in fair condition at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton on Tuesday. No other serious injuries were reported.
