Durham School Board To Meet With Commissioners About Budget

DURHAM, N.C. -

The Board of Education will meet in joint session with the Board of County Commissioners on Thursday morning, May 28, 2009, from 9:00 to noon for a budget work session for next year. The meeting will be in the Commissioners' Meeting Room, 200 East Main Street, 2nd Floor Old Courthouse.

The proposed budget for Durham Public School's next school year is $401.2 million. That means there's a net reduction of about $17.8 million in operating services for the district.
