Ok....the street is finally opened and the sidewalks are all nice and wide and there is plenty of parking! YIPPEE! No excuses for not coming out to the Farmer's Market in downtown Wake Forest. THE place to be on Saturday mornings. Here is just a sampling of what is available this week: local honey, jams and jellies, baked goods, fresh flowers, spring veggies that include (but not limited to) sugar snap peas, spinach, mixed baby lettuces, red Russian kale, chard, collard greens, Romaine lettuce, red leaf lettuce, Butterhead lettuce, green onions,radishes, fresh eggs, free range beef and poultry and much more. As our regulars know, there are items that are staples every week, and there are items that are seasonal so you have to come every week to see what is new. Coming soon in the veggie line: squash, more broccoli, cabbage, green beans and much more.

We vendors look forward to seeing our regulars each week as well as new faces. Come out and buy local and you won't be sorry. Bring a friend or neighbor or take some goodies to someone who can't get out and about. They'll thank you and we do too!
