North State Bank’s 2009 Summer Salute for Hospice of Wake County will take place this Saturday, May 30th beginning at 7:00 p.m. Legends of Beach, featuring lead singer Jackie Gore, formerly with The Embers, will headline the event which will be held at Raleigh’s North Ridge Country Club. Partygoers will enjoy dancing, blackjack in the Flamingo Casino, a silent and live auction, a raffle, and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Among other items, lucky attendees will have a chance to leave with a week-long vacation home rental in Park City, UT, a Texas Rangers jersey autographed by Raleigh’s own Josh Hamilton, a fishing excursion for six on the O’Lucky Me out of Morehead City, or a customized gift package – that may include landscaping assistance; an evening out with hotel and dinner; golf; a stay at the Greystone Inn at Lake Toxaway, NC; a 22k gold Kabana ring from Ora. Summer Salute tickets are $75 each, a portion of which is tax-deductible. Hospice of Wake County uses the money to help fund indigent patient care, including the salaries of professional staff, the purchase of prescription medications, rental of durable medical equipment, and emergency assistance.
