North Carolina Central University and Durham Technical Community College will expand their existing articulation agreement on Monday, June 29 when Chancellor Charlie Nelms and DTCC President William Ingram will sign formal transfer articulation agreements in the fields of Nursing and Criminal Justice.
The signing will take place at 2:30p.m. in the Emma Marable Conference Room of the William Jones Building on NCCU’s campus. The event is free and open to the public.
These agreements will encourage and facilitate the seamless transfer of Durham Tech students to NCCU who wish to pursue bachelor’s degrees in these two areas.
Expanding the articulation agreement continues the close partnership between the two institutions, both in the Associate in Applied Science areas and University Transfer programs. This productive working relationship is also recognized by the signing of the "Partnership Memorandum of Understanding," whereby both institutions pledge to continue to work toward enhancing and expanding the educational opportunities of students.
The new transfer opportunities for Durham Tech students serve to complement the existing University Transfer Study tracks at NCCU which include Hospitality and Tourism, Computer Information Systems, Early Childhood, and Elementary and Middle Grades Education, as well as the Biopharmaceutical/BRITE agreement.
