The Holly Springs Art Council 2nd annual Tie-Dye Extravaganza was a huge success again this year. Estimates of the numbers attending were between 150 and 200 people from 9am-1pm. The event was supposed to end at noon but due to the high demand and constant flow of people the HSAC stayed open until everyone had the chance to get all their Tie-Dying in. The HSAC added new colors and expanded areas in preperation for the more people and were still over whelmed by the huge numbers.
"We could of had two more tables and still been squeezed when all the van loads showed up." Said Krista Latchaw, HSAC secratary. The Tie-Dye event is a small fundraiser for the Holly Springs Art Council. Since the town of Holly Springs isn't funding the HSAC these events are limited to the size the HSAC can afford.
"If it keeps growing like this we should be able to afford a larger event in a few years" Krista Latchaw commented on the huge growth and returning people from 2008.
