Brandy Donovan is now surrounded by her five children and one on the way, but the memory of her accident is still clear.
"We're driving down the road and we see this tree coming down," Donovan said.
The tree landed on the car where Donovan was riding in the back seat Wednesday afternoon.
"I busted out the window with my hands," Brandy said. "I was able to get out but the glass cut my hands and busted my head."
She suffered minor injuries along with the driver, who was a friend of the family. Brandy's unborn baby was fine, but her 21-year-old boyfriend Dejuan Green died on the scene.
"He was a good man and didn't deserve to die like that," Donovan said.
But this was not Donovan's first experience with a tragedy like this. Her husband also died in a car crash in 2007. Now, Brandy says she's left to fend for herself.
"It's going to be really hard now ... he was helping me take care of all my kids," Donovan said.
Donovan says now it's up to her to get back on her feet -- physically and emotionally -- for the sake of her kids.
Family and friends will be setting up a fund for Donovan and her children as soon as possible.
