EDGECOMBE COUNTY, N.C.
Six juvenile inmates who escaped a detention center in Edgecombe County Sunday night are back in custody.
The Edgecombe Sheriff's office received a call from the detention center about the escape around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
The six inmates overpowered officers. The officers received minor injuries.
Five of the inmates were apprehended within one hour of the escape and the last inmate was captured around 4 a.m. Monday.
