Former UNC Tennis Player Pleads Guilty To Drunk Driving

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -

A former UNC tennis star has pleaded guilty to driving drunk and hitting two pedestrians.

In August 2008, Chris Kearney drove his SUV off the road on North Columbia Street, hitting a wall and striking two UNC students.

Kearney had a blood alcohol level of .18, twice the legal limit.

The two people survived.

    Another drunk driver-and yes, this is a young person 20 years old who may not know better but still he drove drunk and hurt someone. Prosecute him to the full extent of the law.
