FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -
Fayetteville Police have identified the man killed Wednesday in a hit and run accident.
Carson Harrell, 63, was pronounced dead after arriving at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Wednesday night.
According to police, at 8:43 p.m. officers responded to a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian near 321 North Eastern Boulevard.
Harrell, who was homeless, was found lying in the roadway when officers arrived and the vehicle had fled the scene.
The investigation is on-going and no other information was released.
