A Virginia woman was killed in a single car accident on Interstate 95 in Smithfield early Tuesday morning.
The Highway Patrol says the driver drove off the road to the left, over corrected, then left the road again near mile marker 93 and landed in nearby trees.
One person, Angelina Danielle Overton, was killed and the other, Jaclyn Marquis McDonald, was taken to WakeMed. Officials say both were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol and speed were not factors in the accident.
According to the accident report, both the driver and the passenger were from Woodbridge, Virginia.

This article is inaccurate. The 17-year old sister, Angelina Overton, was killed at the scene and the 25-year old, my good friend Jackie McDonald was taken to WakeMed and just released Wednesday, Oct. 7 to be with family as they mourn this tragic event.
