DURHAM, N.C. -

Two professional "thirty-somethings" are taking an organized approach towards community service.

Together they make up Organizing for Good -- a volunteer group that helps people, who qualify, get their homes in order free of charge.

Both women, along with their client Barbra Clayton, met through Craigslist.

Clayton put an ad on the online classifieds site looking for helpers who could de-clutter her home

"I've got a laundry list of medical conditions which prohibit me from doing the things around my house that I would like to do," said Clayton.

Unable to get around like she used to, Clayton seemed like the perfect client to Organizing for Good founder Farrah Brown.

Currently unemployed, Brown was looking for a way to stay busy and make a difference at the same time -- that's how Organizing for Good got started.

For me, organizing and cleaning and anything that has to do with house I'm really, really good at, so I figured I could kind of utilize my talents and help other people," said Brown.

Johanna Greeson was thinking the same thing.

"I was looking on Craigslist for volunteer opportunities and saw Farrah's post about her effort," said Greeson.

Also unemployed and unable to find a job, Greeson signed on to help clear out some of the decades old items trapping Clayton in disarray.

"It's freeing me up, both physically and mentally, to have less baggage to carry forward in life, said Clayton.

Organizing for Good says it already has about five more clients lined up after Barbra Clayton's job and is now working closely with Lutheran Family Services in Chapel Hill on getting more clients.

The group hopes to one day become a non-profit organization
