The UNC sport club program will host its 5th annual Race for a Reason on Sunday, October 18th at 9 AM starting on the Ram's Head plaza on UNC's campus. This year's race will benefit the program Girls on the Run, an organization devoted to promoting healthy, active living and a positive body image in elementary and middle school girls. This years race will feature end-of-race performances by some of UNC's top a cappella groups, the Tar Heel Voices, the Walk-Ons, and the Achordants.

Additionally we'll be raffling off prizes graciously donated by Fleet Feet of Carborro.

Official Race Photographer Rick Fernandez will be taking shots of runners and they will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Girls on the Run. http://www.backprint.com/frederickfernandezfotography

Firehouse Subs on Franklin St. will also be dontaing 10% of their race day proceeds to Girls on the Run so be sure to stop in following the race.
