Honda is getting help marketing its new hybrid car from students at North Carolina State University in Raleigh.
A class of NCSU business students created a campaign to market the 2010 Honda Insight hybrid to young people in the community.
It's one of more than twenty classes around the country that are participating in a marketing competition. The top three teams will fly to Los Angeles to present their campaigns to Honda executives.
The NCSU students' campaign, called "Boost your ECO," has an eco-friendly theme.
"We're basically supporting anything green, anything eco-friendly, anything, you know, fuel-efficient. And at the same point trying to put this vehicle out there being that they are the sponsors for this event," said student Kyle Simmons.
The class plans an event on Thursday where students will be able to check out the hybrid car. The NCSU clogging team and a local hip-hop group will perform. It starts at 4 p.m. on Harris Field.
