DURHAM, N.C. -
A traffic accident on I-85 near Club Boulevard in Durham is back open this evening.
Durham Police had closed the southbound lanes between Club Blvd. and Roxboro Road for several hours following an accident. One northbound lane was also closed but has since reopened.
The accident occured around 1:45 p.m. According to the flat bed truck driver, he was travelling northbound on I-85 when he says a car pulled in front of him, causing him to swerve, cross the median and overturned in the southbound lanes. The driver suffered a hip injury.
The truck was carrying gray water-based paint, which spilled on the highway.
